Managing Director

Managing Directors are Chief Executive Officers who are also Board Members. They carry out the duties of both roles.

Manager

Managers plan, organise, direct, and review the day-to-day operations and major functions of commercial, industrial, government and defence organisations. Depending on the size of the organisation, they may delegate tasks to lower-level managers or they may directly manage a workforce. They deal with human resources; internal and external communications; documentation and reporting of business processes, functioning and development; and occupational health and safety.

Department Manager

Department Managers run specialist departments in retail outlets. They are responsible for employee hiring, development and performance; providing specialist advice and guidance; ensuring customer satisfaction; liaising with high-level management; and ensuring the smooth running of all aspects of their department.

Chief Executive Officer

Chief Executive Officers act as an organisation's operational head and its most senior executive. Under guidance from the board or other governing body, they develop and oversee company policy. They devise strategies for future direction, and evaluate the success of existing policies. Depending on the size of the company, they may oversee the activities of lower-ranked Managers.

Quarry Business Manager

Quarry Business Managers establish and maintain site or business unit management systems, plans and policies. They manage major incidents and emergencies, and develop solutions to technical problems or management requirements.

Area Manager

Area Managers coordinate and oversee an organisation's operations, activities and teams in a given area. They may manage a chain of retail outlets, or coordinate strategic and operational activities. They ensure targets are met, plan for and implement business development, provide administrative and human resources management, and generally ensure the smooth and harmonious running of all business activities under their auspices.

Business Analyst

Business Analysts identify business needs and problems, and devise solutions and long-term strategies in response. They compile and review business data; liaise with management and other stakeholders; and generally provide planning and advice for project and workplace issues or business strategies.

Business Development Director

Business Development Directors create and oversee the execution of business plans. They identify new markets and sources of revenue, plan strategies to cope with changing business conditions, and define business objectives. They are responsible for overseeing the activities of Business Development Managers.

Senior Executive

Senior Executives undertake a variety of high-level business tasks. They may plan and coordinate operational activities; provide leadership, management and specialist advice; and build and maintain business relationships. They may be responsible for policy and project planning, or the coordination of projects or day-to-day activities.

Executive Director

Executive Directors are Senior Executives who are also Board Members. They carry out the duties of both roles.
