Electronics Engineering Technologist

Electronics Engineering Technologists apply engineering principles to the design, manufacture, installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of electrical and/or electronic plant and equipment.

Electronics Technician (Computer Systems)

Electronics Technicians (Computer Systems) select, install, commission, fault find and maintain computerised data processing, communications and control systems. They may work with systems which deal with access, surveillance, safety and operational processes.

Electronics Servicing Worker

Electronics Servicing Workers install and carry out basic routine maintenance on a range of electronic equipment and devices. They may specialise in antennae, automotive accessories, office equipment, refrigerator and airconditioning equipment, domestic appliances, standard communications equipment or security installations.

Electronics and Communications Tradesperson

Electronics and Communications Tradespeople install, set up, test, diagnose, repair and maintain electronic equipment and devices at the component or sub-assembly level. They work on equipment used for the transmission and reception of voice, image and data signals, and may specialise in broadcast, microwave, and satellite technologies.

Electronics Tradespersons working in the marine sector may install, modify and repair a variety of ELV electrical and electronic systems and equipment such as radar, satellite navigation (satnav), depth sounders, batteries, air-conditioning, audio and television, and communications systems.
