Farmhands (Cropping) grow and maintain crops. They cultivate soil, sow crops, and control weeds and pests. They use tractors, harvesters, forklifts, and hand-tools; and assist with basic farm maintenance.

Farmhand / Farm Overseer

Farmhands use specialist industry knowledge to carry out complex crop farming activities. They operate and maintain specialist machinery; prepare soil and seeds; establish and irrigate crops; and co-ordinate harvesting and maintenance activities. They may guide and supervise junior workers.

Senior Jackaroo / Senior Jillaroo

Jackaroos/Jillaroos carry out animal and property maintenance duties on large sheep and cattle stations. They muster and move animals; construct or repair structures such as gates, bores, windmills, and fences; maintain vehicles; and care for work horses.
