This qualification provides a pathway to work in organisations such as restaurants, hotels, motels, clubs, pubs, cafés, and coffee shops. This qualification allows for multiskilling and for specialisation in accommodation services, food and beverage and gaming.

Bar Attendant
Bar Attendants prepare, mix and serve drinks to customers in hotels, bars, cafes, restaurants and clubs.
Barista
Baristas are beverage specialists who prepare and serve espresso coffee in restaurants, bars and cafes using commercial espresso machines. They also prepare and serve other beverages and may provide table service.
Reception front desk staff
Reception front desk staff provide office duties, customer service and are usually first point of contact for the organisation.

Housekeepers are skilled housekeeping attendants in large hotels or motels who coach others on the job. They must make sure that rooms are cleaned daily, maintenance is carried out and stock levels are maintained.

Gaming Attendants control games of chance in casinos. They operate equipment, set up games tables, collect losing bets, pay out winning bets and announce the winning numbers, and sometimes serve food and beverages to customers.

Waiters serve food and drinks to restaurant guests, taking reservations and handling money. Waiters at advanced levels may provide silver service and specialist food and wine advice to customers.
