This qualification describes the skill and knowledge for work activities undertaken by an equine service provider or skilled worker in an equine establishment who provides specialist technical skills. They may work autonomously as small business operators or as part of a management team in an equine establishment. The job roles covered in this qualification are:

A head groom or leading stable hand is a very experienced horse groom or stable hand that coordinates horse care tasks and workers in an equine workplace. They are usually highly skilled in one or more horse specialist areas, such as - handling and education, fitness and performance, saddle and gear fitting, and health.

Horse fitness and performance trainers managing horse fitness, conditioning and exercise programs for a range of purposes and management of horses competing in recognised equestrian sport events.
