Indigenous Health Promotion Officer
Indigenous Health Promotion Officers work with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community groups to improve the health of individuals and the community. They plan and coordinate health promotion programs, inform and involve other health professionals in community health issues, design and develop public information campaigns, carry out research on health issues, and discuss and make recommendations on issues that affect the health and wellbeing of the Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community.
