Specialisations are available in customer service, aquatic technical operations, recreation programs and swim school coordination but are not mandatory to achieve this qualification.
This qualification provides a pathway to work for any type of sport, aquatic or recreation organisation including commercial, not-for-profit, community and government organisations.

Aquatic Operator
Aquatic Operators work in community recreation aquatic facilities like pools and leisure centres. They deal with the technical management side of aquatic work, including management of water quality and operation of aquatic facility plant and equipment. They may also provide customer service.
Facility coordinator
Responsible for ensuring all facility plant and equipment is safe for use, and that the facility itself is safe and clean for all staff and users.
Administration Officer
Administration Officers carry out general administrative tasks. This may include producing documents from notes or shorthand, assisting other staff in general duties, handling colleague or client enquiries, maintaining databases, scheduling, and managing records and basic accounts.
Community Recreation Duty Manager
Community Recreation Duty Managers work in community recreational facilities. They supervise individuals or teams undertaking programs such as learn to swim, or group exercise.
Swim school coordinator
Provides leadership and direction to swim teachers.
