Poultry Production Manager

Poultry Production Managers oversee poultry production activities. They are responsible for flock health and production; physical and natural resource management; staff management; and business planning and operations.

Stable Manager

Stable Managers oversee the running of stables. They are ultimately responsible for the health and wellbeing of the horses, and monitor the condition of animals and facilities. They market the stable and animals, purchase supplies, supervise and direct staff, and carry out administrative duties.

Dairy Master Technician

Dairy Master Technicians manage milking machine operations and businesses. They plan machine installation, co-ordinate team activities, and provide job estimates to clients. They administer and promote their business, and liaise with dairy industry people.

Farm Manager (Cropping)

Farm Managers (Cropping) run crop farms on behalf of an owner or company, or run specialist agricultural operations within large-scale mixed enterprises. They oversee, plan and co-ordinate major operations such as sowing, crop care and harvesting; and carry out associated business tasks. They manage and plan for staffing, purchasing, and safety and emergency schemes.

Farm Manager (Livestock)

Farm Managers (Livestock) run farms on behalf of an owner or company, or run specialist operations within large-scale mixed enterprises. They plan and provide resources for breeding and production, staffing and animal health and care. They may also be involved in marketing, business planning, devising and implementing livestock health, care and breeding strategies, and developing chemical and land management plans.

Organic Farmer

Organic Farmers work and manage organic farms, ensuring their land, practices and produce meet standards for organic certification. They manage stock and/or fruit and crop growing and harvesting activities including feeding, breeding and milking livestock; developing plant nutrition programs; supervising staff activities and machinery use; and monitoring supplies and budgets.

Farmer

Farmers work their own land or a leased property, carrying out a full range of business and practical duties to ensure the success of the enterprise. They establish and maintain crops and/or herds; plan farming strategies and operations; maintain the property's land and infrastructure; hire and manage staff; buy and sell stock and produce; and manage the business. They may specialise in a particular crop, product or animal, or run mixed enterprises.

Production Horticulture Manager

Production Horticulture Managers run horticulture production enterprises. They oversee major operations such as planting and harvesting, plan irrigation and pest control systems, and develop horticultural production plans.

Stud Manager

Stud Managers administer and oversee the running of horse studs. They are responsible for staff management and training; and support the marketing of livestock. They manage resources, evaluate business performance and may undertake some business planning.
